Acupuncture, Anxiety & Depression
It is very common for people to experience a constant low grade anxiety,
mild depression, or both. Acupuncture for anxiety and depression moves
the qi (energy) of the body and gives us a tangible experience of being
peaceful and relaxed.
All of our cells have memories of our experiences locked in them. Most of our cells have experienced stress, worry and have been marinating in this energy for most of our lives. Acupuncture helps remind the body how to relax (which happens to be our normal state of being!).
Each of our organ systems in Chinese medicine has an emotion related to it. For example, when the liver is not moving smoothly in the body, people often feel angry or frustrated. When the kidneys don't have enough qi, people tend to feel anxious and fearful.
